How to make cold brew at home with the packs

  1. Put 1 pack in a jug and add 500 ml of cold water.
  2. Leave it in the fridge for 12 to 16 hours.
  3. Lift the bag out, let it drain, and throw it away. No filter, no mess.
  4. Pour over ice. Add water or milk to taste: the brew is slightly concentrated.

Each pack makes about 2 large glasses, and the finished drink keeps 5 days in the fridge. A box holds 6 packs.

Tasting notes: chocolate and cherry

Steeping in cold water extracts sweetness and very little bitterness. This medium roast blend was chosen for that method: the Brazil gives chocolate and a round body, the Colombia adds a cherry note that stays fresh over ice. The result is smooth, naturally sweet and low in acidity, which is why it is our summer favourite.

Why pre-portioned bags?

Cold brew needs a coarse, even grind and the right dose, and straining a jug of loose grounds is slow. Each bag holds 60 g ground coarse on our roastery grinder and sealed the same day, so there is nothing to weigh and nothing to clean. Take a few packs on holiday; any jar or bottle will do.

Iced drinks to try

Serve it black over ice, with tonic and a slice of orange, or with milk and a spoon of syrup. Prefer to brew hot and cool it down? Huila Sunrise makes a good iced pour-over, and the brewing guide has the ratios.

We roast on Mondays and Thursdays and ship within 24 hours of roasting, with the roast date printed on every bag. Order before 11:00 (Paris time) on a roast day and your bag leaves with that day's batch.
